Hot New Release: Kylie Live In New York

Kylie MinogueWoohoo! The day is finally (almost) here. Released in Europe today (December 14th), tomorrow sees the U.S. release of Kylie Live In New York.

Recorded live from NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom on October 13th on the last day of her first ever North American Tour, (Just 6 days after I saw her live in Chicago), fans of the pint-sized electro-pop diva can relive the live spectacle by downloading the experience onto their iPods.

Kylie MinogueThe critically acclaimed tour was a sold out smash that saw Kylie visit 6 cities in the U.S. and Canada. Singing songs spanning her entire career, Kylie put on a show worthy of her 20 years in the business and then some! "The concert was efficient, clobbering, expensive, generous...close to an alternate reality," said the New York Times. The full 28-track digital album will be available on iTunes on Tuesday. iTunes customers receive 3 bonus tracks, the tour versions of "Light Years," "Speakerphone," and "Come Into My World" recorded and remixed exclusively by Steve Anderson.

Hot New Release: Ryan Ferrada - Room 501

I first heard of Ryan Ferrada back in September, when I talked about his upcoming release Room 501. The Bimbo Jones remix of his first single, the club-friendly "Dirty In The Club" hit the top 10 in the Music Week UK Club Chart last month and even hit #2 on the Pop Chart. Impressive! Well, the album has FINALLY been released to the UK iTunes store. I wish I could get it here in the states.

Ryan FerradaThe half American, half Spanish Ferrada grew up in Europe, releasing his debut album, Can't Let Go in Portugal and Span when he was only 18. After touring Europe in support of artists like Ronan Keating and the Sugababes, Ryan is ready for some spotlight of his own. Room 501 sees Ferrada paired up with songwriter/producer Greg Fitzgerald (Kylie Minogue, Madonna, Jessica Simpson) and features the perfect blend of "edgy pop, electro funk, dance and hints of R&B."

Ryan FerradaAmong the albums tracks is a cover of Kylie Minogue's "Burning Up," as well as next single, the title track, "Room 501." I for one can't wait to hear the new material. With the electro-pop world currently dominated by strong female superstars like Lady Gaga and Ke$ha, the hot, sexy Ferrada is destined to make a splash.

Lilith Fair Lineup Announced - Round #1

Lilith Fair 2010Last week part of the lineup for Lilith 2010 was announced. Wow. POWERHOUSE! One of the things that I love about Lilith Fair, aside from it's knack for showcasing strong, talented females in the music industry, is how much variety the line up has to offer. Nearly every genre of music is represented here and this is only the first round of artists! Included in the group we have Sarah McLachlan (of course), Sheryl Crow, Indigo Girls, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile, Ke$ha, Sugarland, Tegan & Sara, Metric, Janelle Monae and more. Check out the full list HERE.

Hot Free Download - The Dolly Rockers - North Vs South

The Dolly RockersThe UK girl group consisting of Brooke Challinor, Lucie Kay and Sophie King - otherwise known as The Dolly Rockers - are back with a brand new FREE track. Pairing up with footwear maker KangaROOS back in August, The Dolly Rockers launched a dance competition and style makeover. The girls partnership with the KangaROOS brand continues with the chance to download a new Dolly Rockers track called "North Vs South." How do you get it? Well, sign up and "friend" KangaROOS on BEBO, add the song to your BEBO playlist and get a free download. It's that simple! You can also listen to the track on the girls' MySpace page, as well as their reported second official single, "Boys Will Be Boys." No word on when the new single will debut, but I've been anxiously awaiting new Dolly Rockers' material since I heard "Gold Digger," which managed to peak at #46 on the UK charts.
